Mykhailo Mudryk Flew to the Winter Training Camp With Shakhtar, Although He Really Wants to Transfer to Arsenal

Mudryk, 22, and other Shakhtar players flew at 10 am local time from Poland’s Rzeszow to Antalya on Turkey’s southern coast. Mudryk was part of the team that crossed the Ukrainian border into Poland on Tuesday morning before departing.

The Ukrainian international is Mikel Arteta’s priority for the January transfer window as Arsenal look to bolster their attack to win the Premier League title.

Chelsea also talked with Shakhtar over a possible move for the 22-year-old winger.

Arsenal has already made two offers for Mudryk, the latest being £62 million. Mudryk himself has made it clear that he wants a move to Arsenal.

In an interview after Monday night’s FA Cup win over Oxford United, Arsenal boss Arteta confirmed his desire to strengthen the attacking line-up due to Gabriel Jesus’ injury.

The problem is that we only have one striker and it’s not easy to cope for many months until Gabby returns.

But we need to get the most out of the players we have at the moment. If we can get reinforcements then that would be great.
